Our History

Our Bulls

New Hope Farm began in 1964, when Dr. John Dykers Jr. imagined this beautiful spot as a place of refuge and renewal.

Today, we raise purebred Charolais cattle on 300 acres of pasture and woodland.

Our philosophy has been "green" from the start. So today, you'll see an array of solar panels as you drive along the half-mile entrance driveway winding to the farmhouse, a fenced-off farm pond to protect the water supply, and a series of fenced paddocks so that we can provide controlled grazing for our cattle -- and as much preserved woodland as possible for summer shade and winter protection for these prize seedstock.

Our new calves

We've got three new Big Fella calves on the ground for the start of our Spring 2009 calving season. They look great with their beautiful white coats against the gorgeous green spring fescue and clover.  We'll add some photos soon.
